cant uninstall 2.3
 

I downloaded 2.4 and now 2.3 won't uninstall it won't even open for that matter. Add and remove programs starts to but then stops

did you already install 2.4?

i suspect the file with the uninstall info is corrupt or not existant.
try to install 2.3 over the existing one and uninstall it and then install 2.4.

So I uninstalled 2.4 and reinstalled 2.3 then uninstalled 2.3 got rid of all limewire files on my pc. downloaded 2.4 and now my shared files aren't in the library. noone seems to have a clear answer on this i'm running XP and noticed a couple people with the same problem and no resolution please help i love my limewire should i get rid of 2.4 and use 2.3 since that seemed to work before

i'm not using XP but you should simply set the path of your shared library in the limewire options that should solve the problem. if you don't know where your shared folder is/was search your harddrive for 'Shared' or files you downloaded.

did the reinstall uninstall thing work?

Yes it worked 2.3 is gone just can't get my files to go to the shared folder I'm going to try again maybe I missed something

im havong the same problem, i had 2.4.2 and then i installed 2.4.4 and now i cant uninstall the other 1, I even tried in disk cleanup but it wont, please help

dude i'm sorry i can't really help you since i don't know much about XP...
how do you uninstall it - do you use the uninstaller?

i guess best would be if you either let old versions remain on the disk or you uninstall before installing a new one.
