Error 1607: Unable to install InstallShield Scripting Runtime

After downloading the file LW 2.44, I try to install and I get the following ERROR. Error 1607: Unable to install InstallShield Scripting Runtime. I read other peoples posts to this same error but no replies. Any suggestions?? I'm running XP.
Thanks. Richard

-Uninstall all previous installations of LimeWire and Java from your PC.
Trash all LimeWire icons and installers from your desktop and the C:\Windows\Temp folder.
-Restart your computer.
-Download the alternate Windows
installer (look for the double asterisks)
-Run the LimeWire PRO installer.

Hey zbell,
I tried your suggestion with no luck. I did notice that I forgot to mention that I'm trying to install the basic version. Any other suggestions?

I recommend you try the new LimeWire 2.5.3 Beta. Some improvements have been made to the installer.

Cool. If you don't mind my asking, what was the problem? For future reference...

I'm currently downloading a song. Then I will exit LW2.5.3 Beta and see the name of the .DLL file that java is having problems with and I will post it. Richard

Sorry, I tried to get some music and lost track of time. The error is: This application has failed to start because JAWT.DLL was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem. After clicking ok, a window pops up (with the above error in 2 post ago) to be sent to bugs@limewire.com. There are two error messages like this then limewire opens and works fine.
