I use the IBM JRE, and limewire won't install without downloading the Sun JRE, but I don't want the Sun JRE, is there anyway around this?

Just get the LimeWireNoVM for windows, or the tgz file for linux from our download page. Then extract the files manually and setup the shortcut to use your version of java.

Thanks. It turns out however that there was good reason why it tries to install the Sun JRE. I went ahead and let it download it, but then stopped it before it install it, then ran Limewire with the IBM JRE. But appartently it doesn't work that well with the IBM JRE. It threw off several errords when it was starting and the only way I could get it to shut down was via the task manager, and hashing started over. So maybe I will just stick with Gnucleus and Bearshare, since this is the only problem I have had with the IBM JRE, and it itends to be alot faster than Sun's version.
