Limewire running, no visible skins anymore!!

Ive been using Limewire for mths now. Stupidly I took the advice of someone and ran an ad-ware programme on my pc and now my limewire will run, but I cant see anything other than the icon at the bottom of the screen. Ive uninstalled and re-installed the software and its still not visible. HELP!!! (Im not particularly techy, so lames terms please?!) ;) :(

hem the adware software shouldn't had been the problem. did you downlaod limewire from limewire.com?
try reinstalling limewire, to uninstall you go to add/remove programs and uninstall there, than you delete the files, in the limewire folder, which is usually under program files. but carefull if you have any files in there taht you want to keep save them they should be in you shared folder and in the incomplete folder. delete the .limewire folder inside of c:/documents and settings. than install
hope this works cause i've never seen an adware program screw up a computer that much

Deleting the settings file "limewire.props" in your ".limewire" folder (search for it) is a good idea, - there is (actually a windows bug) that allows the LimeWire window to be placed outside of the visible desktop.

Ive uninstalled and re-installed. Ive even deleted the limewire.props file. The window is still not visible, even though the program shows as running in the task manager. Any other suggestions? Talk about totally frustrated now!

I remember there was a directX problem on Windows98 concerning certain nVidia cards but I don't really what else could be causing this problem.
