Java runtime problem

Hi everyone, I'm trying to install limewire on a pc for the first time, and have to install the following file (it's about 5.2MB):

"j2re-1_3_1_04-win.exe"

It downloads the file automatically from a location unknown to myself, but during the download when it gets to about 79% or so, my modem disconnectes automatically, and I get an information message:

"Java Runtime Environment download was cancelled. Limewire will now exit the installation setup"

I've tried downloading this stupid java crap 3 times now and each time it's disconnected me from the net. This is blatantly really annoying as I don't think limewire will work without it.

Anyone with any ideas... do you have to have the java runtime environment file installed on your pc for limewire to work??

Cheers,
Ed

You think right Ed. LW is a Java application. So, LW without Java is like a car without an engine (heh).

Did you try dlding Java directly from the site? www.java.com
