Default Price difference??

Hi, I am new to LW and to this forum as well as file share alltogether, but I must say "Bravo" To LW even wit the free version I have found it the best of the 5 different leading names out there.
My question is this, now that I am convinced LW is for me I am ready to upgrade to pro, I'm not realy sure if it will be much better then the free version, because the free one is fantastic in speed and in file availability in the 4 days I have tested it. But however I would upgrade to pro if for nothing else then to support the work being put into it, besides as far as I am concerned the program should be free only for a trial, then pay, but that is my oppinion only.
So now finnaly the question, he he. Why is the price of pro by ordering the CD so much more then the download pro? IS the CD version offered any better, or have more features?
I am only curiouse because with only 6 months free upgrades (not updates I understand) I would opt to buy the download if it is the same as the CD only because wit my luck in 7 months there will be LW %.0 or sumting, lol. So if someone know this answer please fill me in.

The CD is the same as the other PRO version that you can download from the internet.

Because the cost for shipping the CD, the CD itself and the time burning the CD are included.

Higher costs - higher price.

OK Thank you for the info, I was just curious about the huge difference I thought maybe it is a better then the download program. So yes indeed all that adds up and would add to the cost.

You won't see much difference between the Pro and the Free, but I agree that it's well worth supporting, if only as a donation.

btw, the $'s also go a bit to reward/thank a number of opensource developers who work on the project too. See http://www.limewire.org/awards.shtml IMHO, this is alone enough of a reason to support the Pro.

As for updates--there have been many, especially if you enjoy the beta testing. Take a look at http://www.limewire.com/english/cont..._history.shtml to see just how often these individuals come up with new releases and ideas to play with.
