There is no initial membership! You're not getting confused with becoming a member of the forum are you? The forum & LW are 2 separate identities. The forum also caters for some other p2p apps & is just a forum for p2p help.

It's a good idea to update your Java before you install LW: Java 1.5 (take the JRE)
