LW 4.6.0 Upgrade - LW does not run
 

I had a working version of LW 4.2 running when I was prompted to upgrade to the latest version. I downloaded LW 4.6.0 and ran the install. When the install completed it told me I needed to download a new version of JRE before I could run LW. I download the latest version of JRE 5.0 Update 1. When I click the icon for LW the hourglass shows for 2 secs and that's all that happens. LW never initializes. I then tried uninstalling LW and JRE, then rebooted. Ran the install for LW 4.6.0 again. It said it was downloading Java which took a long time. Looking at the WINDOWS\TEMP\jrelog.txt file shows a successful install - "MSI (c) (3B:6B): Product: J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 1 -- Installation operation completed successfully." as the final line in the file. The install of LW continued and completed successfully according to the installation message. Still LW acts as before - hourglass and nothing happens. Please note I had the prior version of LW running fine on this system. I am running on a WIN-ME machine with 192MB of RAM and 20GB free HD space. Where do I go from here? Thank you!

It might be a pain but might be an answer. For some people Java 1.5 doesn't agree with their systems for some strange reason. So instead install Java 1.4.2: Sun 1.4.2: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html (Choose the JRE) & then open LW or install LW.
