Please help me! whenever I go to my limewire basic, a message pops up that is titled Error, the message reads: LimeWire was unable to set up a port to listen for incoming connections. Some features of LimeWire may not work as expected. Please help me I don't know what to do, it doesn't connect but it says it is, and it never does, it just fills in the shortest block green. Please help! |
Can you give us a total desciption of your set up: 1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98) 2. What firewalls you have? 3. ram? 4. HDD space available? 5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.) 6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? 7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)? 8. What version of Limewire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) this will tell you the version of both. These details are vital if you want us to find out what your connection problem is. 9. Who is your isp provider? 10. Is this th 1st time you've used LW & did you have problems before? |
that's a lot of stuff and most of it I don't even know |
It's not so difficult. Particularly if you want us to try to identify & solve your problem. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say ‘Test Page was a Success’. What happens when you go there? |
it just said your test page was a success |
yes! I fixed it on my own! thx for your help ne ways tho. Yes! I am so happy! |
