Limewire Installation Freeze
 

I have spent a week periodically trying to install the new version of limewire, I was under the influence that this would be better than the version I had. Now I have none. The installation freezes DURING java installation, not AFTER. My computer doesn't freeze and the java window shows movement like it's working, but it will go for hours until I have to shut it down via task manager. I have tried everything the help faq's suggested and even a couple things I found in the forum (i.e. downloading java seperately, removing everything java and lw related form my computer and trying again, etc.) I am less angry about this and quite a bit more pissed off at the fact that evertime I try anything and abort, my computer will not shut down on it's own, I have to do it manually. Also, now when I'm on the internet, I'm constantly having pop-ups coming up that my explorer blocker AND my Enigma Pop-up blocker cannot block. I assume this is directly related to what I've gone through with lw because I have done nothing else to any part of my computer and I had complete control over pop-ups before.
I run xp, I have plenty of hd and ram
If ANYONE can help with my lw issues and more importantly my pop-up problem, I would greatly appreciate it.

the exact same thing happens to me. some help would be greatly appreciated
