![]() KathW already gave you a clue but have a look at this: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=36228 which may/not fix it but worth taking precautions. |

![]() well ok limewire wont even run..ill click on it and the load window shows up and then dissapears and limewire doesn't even pop up...i tried deleting the preferences folder and doing what some of the other help topics told me 2 do but still no luck..ive also tried shareaza and morpheus...shareaza was the only one that worked but i had connection problems with it and with morpheus id click on something to download and an error messege would pop up saying that it had problems and needs to close...ive also tried to install ares but the same thing happened as with limewire..the install window would pop up and dissapear. i called sbc and they said that its not an sbc problem and its my computer which i find odd because back on mid march i had a problem and the people there rebooted the computer to the point where my personalized files were deleted and i got it back it was the same as it was when i took it out of the box and plugged it in. this is really frustrating me PS: nice avatar lord of the rings ![]() Last edited by UNi 7; April 10th, 2005 at 01:04 PM. |

![]() Well ... I could suggest a couple of things. If you have a Registry Cleaner it would be well worth cleaning the muck out. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...232#post121232 Also do a system maintenance & check it with your utilities & defragment your HDD. Then I'd reinstall both LW & Java starting with Java. But install both from the computer. Don't install over the net; downld the installers to your computer & then install. Reboot after installing LW. Choices for Java: http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp] (take the JRE) http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html (Choose the JRE) |
