Can't re-install LW

when i down loaded LW 4.8.1 and tried installing it I get this message:

"LimeWire cannot create uninstall information. Installation will now exit." then my only option is to click OK.

I had LW Pro and this whole thing started when I tried upgrading it. So I tried uninstalling it and re-downlading and this is the error I get.

Using windows explorer search for anything LimeWire on your hard disk drive. Delete anything you find. Also check control panel>add remove programs and make sure nothing is showing there

Then run a registry checking program, and clean up your registry. If you don't have one, use the forum search fuction, upper right between f.a.q. and home, and look for one. You will find some links to several.

Then d/l and reinstall LimeWire

there is a LW folder in

my computer/program files/Lime Wire

I can't delete this folder all that is in it is a notepad file named install. When i try to delete it I get a message

"Cannot delete install.log: It is being used by another person or program."
