I have had Limewire for a while & now it won't open. When I click on it the window comes up & the things run across the bottom like it is loading everything. Then it shuts down. It also ask do I want to send a message to Microsoft. I can't get it to stay open at all. Any suggestions????

Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Fixes for Limewire or/& re-installing Java by downlding from the link I gave & saving it to your computer (don't install over the net.) 1st uninstall the previous version Java using the Add/Remove programs control panel.

I have removed Limewire before I got your post. I have installed the JRE java. I have also deleted the limewire preferences as stated. Now I am going to try to download Limewire again. I will d/l it to my computer & then install it.

I really think it was deleteing that Limewire file on my C that did it but I'm just glad something did!
