limewire won't install
 

I can't get Limewire to install on my newly built computer. I have tried almost everything. It always stops when it starts installing the java thing. It says "installing java" but it never does anything. Neither Limewire nor the Java thing are in my add/remove programs thing. I have Limewire running on all my computers but this one. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.

Downld both the Java & LW installers & save them to your computer (DON'T install over the net!!!) Then install Java. Then install LW. Which version of Java are you trying to install. Try Java 1.5 & if that doesn't work then try 1.4.2; you can get direct links for them from after this link: Fixes for Limewire By the way, LW no longer appears in the Add/Remove Prog control panel. To uninstall it go to Start menu>Programs>LW>Uninstall
