problem opening Limewire
 

i have been using limewire for a while and i have now got this error messages. i am using limewire version 4.8.1 on windows.

i have reinstalled limewire and also java and the problem is not going away. is there a way to fix this.

Im getting exactly the same error and so have quite a few of my friends. Ran a virus scan and it came up with the Java/Byte Verify virus, got rid of that, reinstalled both limewire and the java 5.0 JRE, deleted the .limewire folder, nothing seems to work. Anyone else come up with a solution to this?

i read another post, "Limewire Problem!!! I can't run it! Fatal Error", and tried setting the compatibility to windows 2000 and it works now even though im using XP.

i have fix the opening error (fatal error (java)) by changing the compatibility to windows 2000
