Default Clean registry after uninstall ?

Trying to completely uninstall LW in XP Thinkpad. It had LW 4.2.6 and possibly later also. Screwed up and didn't use uninstall, and I think just tried to erase all limewire files. Then installed 4.8 and used uninstall.
Cannot find any remnant "limewire" files including hidden ones after a file search. But a network security program keeps finding some remnant of limewire.
Only thing I can conclude is there are still things left in the registry the security program is seeing.
Can someone recommend a commercial registry cleaner program that might pick up what's left causing detection of limewire. Or, short of that, point me to the process for cleaning registry myself with regedit or whatever else needs to be done to get rid of it ? I would be extremely grateful, as I've read all the posts I believe on uninstalling Limewire and nothing seems to help.
Thanks !!!, Bob
