LimeWire not opening up
 

About 3hours ago, Limewire was just working. I saw that there was an updated version of Limewire so I downloaded it. I started it and started to download 1 file. After 7% into the file, an error message came up in French, which I do not know. After a few minutes it kicked me out. When I started it back up, evrything was now in French. I uninstalled it, then reinstalled it. Same thing happened. So I tried System Restore. System Restore worked out OK but now, the whole program won't open. I double-clicked it and for a second the Busy mouse arrow came up. After that nothing happened. I tried uninstall, reinstall and system restore one more time and it did not work. Here I am now asking for help with this problem

Solution:

Uninstall Limewire and JAVA Runtime Environment. Restart computer.

Download Java Runtime Environment Update 4 Sun Developer Networks
Download the one that is 'Download JRE 5.0 Update 4'
It should be the third one down.

After downloading JRE. Restart your computer.

Now install LimeWire.

It should now be able to open up.

The reason why Limewire may not be opening up is because of Java Runtime Environment.

Tried to install Java newest again and it comes up already installed. Tried to remove from add/remove programs and comes up "You already have this version of the JRE installed. Please uninstall the product through your add/remove program utility before reinstalling" That is what I was trying to do.

Have also tried to reinstall Limewire. Also tried to manually install java. It will not automatically install recieve error about uninstalling the java already there.

Any help would be appreciated

More information would help me a lot.
