tanx for the reply! Yea after a days long investigating and mind numbing searches through these forums i realised i had two versions,dunno why the icon took me to the older one! Anyhow following the wrong advice from one of the threads i proceeded to lose my incompletes anyway.course then 5 mins after i stumble on the correct thread wit the very simple advice of copying and moving my .dat & .bak files,it was just one of those days............ !!!
anyhow todays a new one so i decided to uninstall all and start affresh.since i did tho my downloding speeds are crap and i'm testing them wit 4 stars,similar (cable) connection, ports fine and no firewall so looks like another day of it.....................
my question does it make a difference if both LW and bearshare are assigned the same port? I'm obviously not running them at the same time it's just that bearshare is flying and LWs not.
