Shuts down before i can install When I try and install limewire by clicking on the [Get Free] Installation Tab a little window opens and on the main page it says getting redirected to a third party window...but then all of my windows which are currently up and running SHUT DOWN. Therefore I can't even get to the Installation Wizard for LimeWire. |
Where exactly are you trying to get it from. There is no get free tab ... there is a button that says Get Basic. http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml If you are trying to download from another site. Please tell us which site it is. |
Oops, sorry about that. It's the Get Basic Tab. |
Knowing which third party window might help a lot!. You might find it in your browser history (possibly) Also are you going to the page I gave the link for, or something VERY similar? |
When i first posted this post I done it the day after I got the error...so i kinda screwed up my whole problem. Sorry about this, yet again lol. I'l start form Step 1. I got to the limewire home page and click on [Get It Now] Step 2. I then choose [Get Basic] Step 3. I go tot the page about copyright infringement and choose: I will not use LimeWire BASIC for copyright infringement. Step 4. I then go to the page about which system to download it onto, and I choose the reccomended Windows one. But this time around it says nothing about a third-party window...It only tries to open http://www.limewire.com/LimeWireWinBoth and THEN all my wondows shut down. I then also got the error which I didn't get before when I was getting the third-party window message: The instruction at "0x7d597b33" referenced memory at "0x000000010". The memory could not be "read". Click OK to terminate the program. Which is a bit odd since all of my windows have already been terminated anyways. |
Hmmm I went to the link you gave that is the download page and it did download a small exe file only which I imagine is because I'm on a mac. What browser are you using and have you got another you could try? |
I've got internet explorer ugh and that is probably screwing up my comp...nope I don't have any others =\ but any reccomendations? |
Opera or Firefox Opera is a combined News reader and Mail client which is one reason I like it. but it is a little bit complicated www.opera.com Firefox seems to be most peoples favourite alternative. www.firefox.com or www.mozilla.com |
