Desktop Icon from previous install can't be deleted
 

I just upgraded my Limewire to version 4.9.33, and it installed a new icon to my desktop. The icon for the old version is still there, but when I try to delete it it says 'Cannot delete file: Cannot read from the source file or disk.' I'm running Windows XP w/Service Pack 1.

Starting up in safe mode should enable you do delete it. For myself, I would search for start & then from the search results, select the shortcut file & send it to recycle bin.
