Default Updating

I have recently downloaded the standard Limewire installation 4.8.1 and was then prompted about updating to 4.9. However when I try to I receive a warning that a required .DLL file USERENV.DLL was not found. Can anyone help please?

You recently installed LW 4.8.1? It hasn't been available for about 6 months from the official LW site. Are you sure you didn't pay for it at a scam site of something? Have you seen Membership? - **WARNING ** - Download p2p Clients ONLY Thru Official Sites

I don't know the answer to your problem but here's a couple of links;

Question Ive downloaded version 4.8.1 too

Its the 31st October and I have just downloaded and paid for LW and it is currently showing as version 4.8.1, I paid £13.41 for a lifetime full and unlimited access package and £9.97 for Pro Version Upgrade as well as £8.88 for NetSpy Pretector.

I thought that the Pro Version Upgrade was the Limewire Pro, however it keeps asking me to upgrade to version 4.9.37 and when I try to get help from the PRO support section using the email address that I have a confirmation of purchase on it says that I am not registered user. Can anyone confirm whether the £9.97 Ive paid is for the PRO package and if it is, how the he!! do I get it to let me upgrade to the new version without having to pay the $18.88 it keeps requesting!!!!!!!!!!!! Help

No you didn't pay for the pro version. And I suspect you'll find this the case if you check the directions of how to find out: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...277#post167277

ie: you didn't pay your money to the official LW, but instead to a scam site. Thus LW will know nothing about you.

There's lots of advice in the original thread I posted about how to get your money back.
