Limewire acting weird..help
 

i have limewire pro 4.9.30 n runing windows me on a 512kb/sec connection..the problem is whenver i try n download a movie from limewire..its starts downloading n then after 2 mins it reduces my downlaod speed from 54k/sec to a measly 2k/sec n in turn finally disconnects my connection n hangs up my computer....

but if i try n downlaod a song or ne other file it works just fine..

ive tried formatting my c:..reintalling limewire...but it seems to have d same prob..

i duntknow wat to do

hard to say because the file depends on the sources, which are obviously giving you a lot at first, but then dropping.

Could be the sources, or it could be your connection, or maybe your setup.

Try to download one of the videos from a reliable source, like http://www.magnetmix.com/video.shtml

What kinds of speeds do you get on average with some of those files?

If the same problem persisits, go to the options->statistics->bandwidth-> downloads and watch the graph of the download. It should show a pretty steady line.

see i know ntn wrng with the files coz my frnd downlaoded d same one's without ne probs..he on the other hand is using a slower connection dan mine..wat cud be wrng with the setup..i purchased limewire pro..im a licensed user !!!!!(hmm..dat does sound good doesnt it)

n as fr my connection it works fine on ne other file i downlod except d movie's but im able to download movie's from kazza or warezp2p...hmm..weird..i think its my os or sumthng definatly messed up..neways thx fr d suggestion man..
