Arrow Limewire And Java

I have a really frustrating problem..I have downloaded and installed LimeWire, I guess but it won't run because the installation failed to download Java. Why is that??

And then I go to download Java like it says and I get an error code '1500' from it saying there is another installation in progress but Java is the only one. Anyone experiencing anything similar?..

Um .. Limewire doesn't come with java. You need to have Java installed before you attempt to install Limewire. Both should be installed off line if you have problems. There is a second Limewire installer for this purpose, for windows.

The following link should help, http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...=fixes+working

I hope this helps.

No, I'm having the same problem...the Limewire installer gets hung up duting the "Installing Java" phase. I went to the FAQ, and I downloaded Java directly and installed it, and then tried Limewire again, but it still gets hung up at the same place, but now it comes with a new error message: "error opening file for writing: "C:\DOCUME~1\Owner\LOCALS~1\Temp\jrestub.exe." Is there a fix for this?

Thanks,
Dan.

Goreckii As your other post was the later one, hopefully that will sort your problem. It will need a Windows person to inerpret this but hopefully getting java sorted will solve the problem.
