check your version of java

You said above:
ok when i try and go though the "run as..." comand i get this error

LimeWire version 4.9.37

Java version 1.4.2_03 from Sun Microsystems Inc.

Are you sure you are running the latest version of Java? Version 1.4.2 you mentioned above is an old version.... You should have the new version 5 (update 6) jre-1_5_0_06.exe

This new version help solve the connection problem me.
