freezing up/slowing down

hey guys i have downloaded the shareware version of limewire and i love the program but b4 i buy i have a problem and i would be pleased if someone can help me. limewire keeps freezing and makes my pc very slow is there anything i can do?? i dont want to buy the pro and have the same problem??? all other software runs quickly

plz help
