Lord of the Rings has a distinguished reputation

Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 in Fixes for Limewire (sample at bottom of page.)

There is an option within LW which allows sharing LW's playlist on iTunes. However this may cause extra cpu burden. So be aware of that. (It's under LW's menu bar, Tools>Options>iTunes>Sharing)
