Purchased LimeWire Pro on 2/17/05. Paid $43.15 to Mymusic Ipaycs Com. Now have a new computer and need to reinstall, but the system doesn't recognize my email address. How do I get the install files? (Happy New Year!)

Sorry but LW Pro costs $18.88USD and that site you bought from is not the official LW site (ie it's a scam site). You probably have basic not pro and so your e-mail is not recognized.

You can check it in LW by going to Help > About LimeWire. See pic here: About LimeWire

Even if you did have pro and had gotten it from the official site: http://www.limewire.com/english/cont...um_intro.shtml. Pro is good for 6 months of free updates and you are past the 6 months so you would have to pay again.

It's probably too late to get your money back. Next time make sure you get it from http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml .

As you were ripped-off by Mymusic Ipaycs Com and probably only ever got freebie Limewire Basic anyway, all you need to do is go to Limewire's official site:

http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml

and download and install Limewire Basic (for real this time).
