Corupted file
 

I've tried to download this new Limewire and all i get is Corupted file, Corupted file. I've tried 15 times and still no good. I've downloaded Limewire in the past with earlier versions with no problems. I recently formatted and when i came to download limewire again there was a new version and now it won't download. I've de-activated my firwall, re-installed JAVA, deleted all previous limewire files, but to no avail. I'm beggining to think that the free limewire is gone. They make it so you can't download the free limewire so you will purchase Pro. Because it shouldn't be that hard to download this software.:mad:

There are although a prat called Hobo will try and tell you otherwise a problem downloading from the official site.
When you go to upload the lime wire files you are uploading them from up to 700 different people.
Amongst these people theres bound to be and actually are idiots infecting files with malware/ spyware etc.
If you still intend to upload Limewire make sure you have good protection against this problem.

Even on this forum site i'm getting hit with spyware. Something called Safesurf. How many times do you have to try and download before you can actually get through :confused: :confused:

If you have safesurf sidekick 3 poping up you have got it from a lime wire upload.
This is a serious infection which is very hard to get rid of.
It knocks out ms dos so you cant delete it that way,it also blocks you attempt to find it using ctrl alt del.

Enter surfsidekick 3 remove and go to one of the help sites.

I now have Morpheus pro as a p2p,no bstards trying to infect you there

All the networks Morpheus uses also suffer the same issues. This virus issue seemed to become endemic last 10 mths or so. Highly probably from the same sources that want to thwart people's enthusiasm to use p2p sharing by loading fake & corrupt files on the network & using auto-spamming techniques. These are groups sponsored to do this. A well known one was Overpeer. Google it & see what I mean.

Advice: See NorbiesWorld (click on link) to get your computer sorted out. And also see WARNING: Viruses on network you should be aware of! (click on link) & ignore files less than 1 MB (1,000 KB) in size. Start using your spam filter if you're using LW 4.10

SafeSurf still a problem
 

I've tried downloading 20 to 30 times fomr both sites. Every time I get a Virus warning from Panda Internet Security saying that spyware/safe surf has been located and eliminated. This happens when the files are being unpacked. The install then fails reporting a corrupt file. I've given up:mad:

droplet i have the same problem as well as the corrupted download. You can try download.com to see if they have limewire.
