I can't get Limewire to even open. I click on the icon to open the program and nothing happens. I even tried the back up installer and it made no difference.

I had Limewire before I used my restored my hard drive. I don't know why it's not working or how to fix it.

Please help!

Try the 3 options here Fixes for Limewire & uninstall Java using your Add/Remove control panel. Then install using the "Offline" Java installer.

It might also be worth reinstalling LW using the "Offline" installer. But no uninstallation necessary as LW will uninstall at the beginning of installation. http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml

I had the same problems and did exactly what the first poster suggested and it worked like a charm ! Remove java as he suggests and then re install it using the link he gives! Good Luck! It took me 2 months to figure it out!
