About this latest update for Limewire.

I'm confused.
As a Limewire PRO user, am I supposed to pay again to get the PRO version of the update?
OR.........
Am I supposed to download the free version and then update to PRO using my details from when I originally got PRO on the old version?
Gizza clue.
Cheers,
Steve

The free updates are good for 6 months. If it's past that then you will need to purchase LW Pro again. If your still within the 6 months then enter the e-mail you used to purchase LW here: http://sales.limewire.com/support/pro_lookup.php

OK, Thanks guys.
It is over 6 months ago that I paid for the LIFETIME, ONE-OFF PRO version so I guess that lets me out of having to do the update.
Cheers,
Steve

geordie_the_parrot,

LimeWire doesn't have a lifetime membership, the only sites offering a lifetime membership are scam sites:(.

Download p2p Clients ONLY Thru Official Sites

LimeWire costs $18.88US and is available through the official site: http://www.limewire.com/english/cont...um_intro.shtml

If you buy LW through the official site you will get a e-mail offer to repurchase LW at a reduced rate at the end of 6 months.

6 pack...... One of us is wrong then.
I copy/pasted this from the Limewire FAQs page......

Q: How much does LimeWire cost?

A: LimeWire BASIC is completely free to download and use. An enhanced version of LimeWire, LimeWire PRO, is also available for a one time charge. LimeWire PRO can be purchased as an electronic download or on CD.

Does that say "ONE TIME CHARGE" or do my glasses need changing.........again?

Yea, it was just when you said "lifetime" that made me think you got scammed. There are a lot of scam sites that offer a lifetime membership then sell an unsuspecting person the basic version or a corrupt version. No offense intended;).

the one time charge implies you are NOT charged per download, per MB, or per anything....

but...it does NOT mean a lifetime membership though I can see how many ppl might think that as being so...typical business craftily wording things to make more sales methinks
