Burning downloads to cd

how do i burn my downloads to cd?:

What type of downloads & what type of CD do you want to burn? A data cd for backup, an audio CD, a VCD, an mp3 disk?

This should answer part of your question at least: Burning an audio CD from your MP3's

audio cd from livewire download.:)

Bingo! Then that link will do the trick for you. Advised to burn not at too high a speed! ;) Some players have problems with disks burnt at very high speeds or with high speed cd-r's.

is that the reason mine dont play or theres another reason? mines shows the burn procedure...den it will say fnished burning. but den non of my players will play it

Yes that is possibly the reason. Make sure you chose Audio format & not mp3 or data format. Also make sure you used a CD-R & not a CD-RW.

Also beware of some of the very cheap cd-r brands. Some of those made in places like china or Taiwan are simply not good enough. I'd recommend choosing a reknown brand, at least until you get this problem sorted out. You could also check your model of burner to see whether it has any preferencial treatment of cd-r brands. Whilst that's not so common nowadays, it does still happen with some burners in that they don't burn too well with some brands of cd-r.

Will the disk you already burnt play on the computer or DVD player? Some dvd players can play mp3 disks & can also play audio cd's burnt onto cd-rw. But that's not a preferable thing to do unless that is specifically what you want to do.

ok i used windows media player burn software to convert it to audio file and it plays in my cars.

heas a wierd thing...im using a external burner ok.

if i have my external burner hooked up to my desktop and its burned. den it will only play in my desktop and wont read in my desktop.

if i hook up the same burner to my laptop and burn it. den it will only play in my laptop and not my desktop.

why does it do this? it shouldnt matter where its burned. the only difference between my laptop and my desktop is one has 1.1 usb and one is a 2.2 usb.
but they are both using the same burner

but it seems to be working in the cars.
