partly downloaded files i have problems with partly downloaded files at various sizes search finds exactly same file in words and size, but wont continue download says file aleady exists I have to rename and start from scratch is this normal or can someone explain why:confused: |
Yes this is normal. It is due to the fact that you already have the file partially downloaded. Therefore when you try to download the file over again from the search results you are basically telling LimeWire to either a) Overwrite the existing file and start over or b) Start a new download from scratch. So if you want to continue the download click on the Library tab and then click on the Incomplete files folder on the very bottom of the left hand side. Now once in the incomplete folder you will find your partially downloaded files. Click on one of the files and click the resume button which will reactivate the download from where it was left off. Hopes that helps. |
If you see a file in the search window with a black and white icon with a crack in it, this means you have it already incomplete. Downloading from one of these will continue your incomplete download. :) |
