![]() Alright, I kept seeing the "new update" link flashing so I finally tried to update. When I clicked on it I did all the things nessecary and it began installing. Then a prompt came up telling me to close the current edition of Limewire out before continuing. I did but didn't recognize it to mean uninstall so when it came up again I thought it was just an error so I clicked ignore. It seems it deleted half of the older version but made it where I can't uninstall the old edition to continue the updating. So how can I fix this? Thanks in advance! ![]() |

![]() Close LW. Control-Alt-Del & open process manager & make sure Limewire is not listed. If yes, force it to quit. Then download the "Offline" version of LW installer & install. LW installer will remove previous version at beginning of installation process. Sounds like your earlier LW version wasn't fully closed down before the updating & installation occured. Get LW here http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml |
