Help Please? :( Application has failed to start because MSVCR71.dll was not found!
 

I've been trying to download LimeWire for the past week and nothing has seemed to work. I ran the original installer, which said I would have to install manually and sent me to the full installer. When using that, it said this:

This application has failed to start because MSVCR71.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem.

So, that is what I did...I re-installed and re-installed over and over and it kept saying the same exact message. I have never downloaded any previous versions of LimeWire before and am a first time user. Can anybody please help me download this program before I drive myself crazy?

Download & install the .dll file from here http://www.dll-download.net/msvcr71.html

Then download the "Offline" LW installer from here: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml

Make sure you installed Java before-hand. If not, get it here & get the "Offline" installer: Java 1.5 (take the JRE) which is about a 19 MB download.

That didn't work. It said that the appication (being that first thing you told me to download) was not a valid windows image. What now?

Try again. It should work. A lot of users have been having the same issue
