Uninstall and Reinstall maybe? I think this is the wrong forum. And please don't use all caps :(

Have you installed the latest version of Java?

ukbobboy01 August 18th, 2006 12:04 PM

Hi Zippy

Got your PM, download Java from here: http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

This should solve your problem.

Use the offline installer and download Java to a newly created empty directory and run it from there.

PS. After you have rebooted your PC, I would also suggest that you go back to the Java website and click the "Verify Installation" button to check that your Java installation is OK.

Hey UK Bob

hey there UK Bob,

I just wanted to post one more thing, I wanted to say thanks for the suggestion of up****** my java, it worked, my limewire is now working fine. I never even thought of doing that, in fact I have had a computer now for 8 years, and that is the first time I have ever done it. I was under the impression that it just automatically updated itself every so often. And I am sorry about using all caps in my previous post. I am slightly visually impaired and it makes it alot easier to see what I am doing

Thanks
Mike Thomas

Hi Zippy

Glad to help, being a volunteer is sometimes a thankless task so when someone that's been helped expresses their appreciation can make this "self imposed duty" seems all worthwhile.

UK Bob
