Try uninstalling LW and all Java versions, then reboot. Then download the newest Java version using the JRE offline installer from here: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp
The reboot again and reinstall LW. If that doesn't do the trick, uninstall LW again and reboot in Save Mode and try to install LW in Save Mode with your Norton disabled.....
