Do you use Pest Patrol or AOL's spyware remover?

welverin September 7th, 2006 09:11 AM

no, i have zone alarm, AVG free edition and spy catcher but those never poved to be a problem in the past

There is something deleting your "limewire.exe" file, as you don't have Pest Patrol or AOL's spyware, which are known to delete the LW exe every time you run them, then something must have been recently added to your PC that performs this "delete" function.

At a guess, without really knowing, I would say that a recent update to "Spycatcher" is probably the culprit.

May I suggest that you temporarily disable "Spycatcher", reinstall LW, leave "Spycatcher" disabled for a few days and see if the LW exe file vanishes again.

Welverin

"recommended installer" tells me nothing, I need you to answer my question so that I know what you are doing and can respond accordingly.
