Cannot Uninstall ...
 
Im trying to get Limewire to work in my system , and I find not only that I cant get it to do a thing , when I try to Uninstall it I get this Message :

The installer you are trying to use is corrupted or incomplete
this could be the result of a damages disk a failed download or a virus

you may want to contact the author of this Installer to obtain a new copy

it may be possible to skip this check using the /NCRC command line switch
(NOT RECCOMENDED)




IM basically at an Impasse - I feel I should jopt down more , but I dont know what ?

Im using XP Pro 2002 version Svc Pack 2

How are you trying to uninstall? Don't use add/remove programs. The right way is via start > all programs > LW > use the uninstall option. Another option is to download & install a new version of LW (this should automatically uninstall the previous version) & then uninstall using the correct method. Or, you could use your computer's search to find all LimeWire files & folders & delete things manually!

What do you mean when you say that you "can't get it to do a thing"... is it not loading, not connecting, not searching, not downloading... help us out by giving some info:confused:

Do you have an official version of LW? Did you get it from www.limewire.com?

this is trying to use hte LW Uninstall Icon from insiode the Folder that it gives me this Message .

It shows you the Limewire Box and says "Loading HTML engine and sticks there .

Yeah , it was DLed from Limewire.com

Hi! i've got the exact same problem! i've tried uninstalling it every way possible! nothing will get rid of it. always the same dialogue shows.
