Computer runs slow now HELP!!

So I downloaded limewire and now my computer runs slow. When ever i click on sumthing, example an icon like the trash can, it takes a minute for it to open. It takes longer for everything to open now instead of super fast like b4. What can I do for my computer to run how it did b4 I installed limewire? Please HELP!!!
