Installation and start up woes

Got myself a bit of a problem at the moment

My LW was working fine, but then something happened to my computer and I had to do something to fix it. Everything worked again except for LW. When I tried to open it, it would have a small box without anything in it which I assume was something about "upgrade to LW PRO" I tried to close it but the whole thing locked up. Easyest way to describe is that the program opens up to just a white space. My music when playing jerks on and off, my mouse jerks and pauses, jerks and pauses, and takes a minute or so to move to another window or to do alt + ctrl + del

It must be something internal because when I switch back to another program the system returnes to normal, but when going back to LW it locks up in the same fashion.

I've uninstalled java and LW completely and did the offline installation. Sometimes when clicking the installation icon, it brings up a small white box and locks up like the program did, and then IF it gets to the language select screen it locks up and doesnt let you choose or hit next.

I've tried multiple sourse downloads from other sites, none of which worked either and my computer runs cleanly any other time so I doubt its virus or spyware related

I've been trying to figure out this firewall business, weather thats the problem? But I disabled my fire walls and anti programs just to allow my net to even go online. So I'm a bit stuck

Could it be my system set up? Is it a dodgey code in the program my pc doesnt like? Is it a virus? Or should I just try bearshare or something new? Please help someone :bangh:

Your problem is most likeley with Java (bad install) Try installing older versions of Java and see if thet helps.
