Default How do I fix the proxy settings for Java?
I installed LimeWire, but was not able to get Java running. I downloaded the software from the Jawa site, but an error message appears:
"The installer cannot proceed with the current Internet Connection proxy settings. Please check the Installation notes for more information."
I checked the notes and apparently Java needs an address from the IE LAN settings. But that address field is blank (I believe there is a new address assigned automatically each time I connect - just a guess).
Can anybody help me please??

download the offline installer...
