You're lucky because most newbies go through the membership thing and find themselve's being ripped-off by a scam site

, i.e. paying an entry fee for Lifetime membership to a non-existent club

, paying for free Limewire

, buying bogus anti-spyware apps

and some even end up paying a monthly subscription to their non-existent lifetime club
