LimeWire will not load Download Window
 

Hello everyone,

I am having difficulty with Limewire starting. It will load the splash screen up to where it says "Loading Download Window", then the window disappears and Limwire does not load. I have tried many of the fixes in the different threads in this forum, but cannot get it to work. I have uninstalled my version of Java and reinstalled the latest version. I also have uninstalled Limwire and reinstalled Limewire. Yes, I have deleted the preferences folder as well before reinstalling. I am trying to run it on Windows ME..

Error logs appear in the LimeWire directory, that seems to relate to Java, but I cannot figure it out. I would appreciate any help anyone can give. Thank you very much! This is the beginning of the log

I finally resolved this issue, and I wanted to share the information in case anyone had this same problem.

Before LimeWire would load upto the "Loading Download Window" then the window would disappear! I cannot tell you how many times I uninstalled and reinstalled different versions of Java and then LimeWire. 4.12. After some work of finding out what software was not compatible with LimeWire, I found that the software that came with my router was interfering. (I have a D-Link router that came with Network Magic software.) Believe it or not, after I uninstalled Network Magic, I have had NO problems loading LimeWire.
