thanks everyone but my main problem is not getting limewire onto another computer, i am trying to figure out how to bring limewire from one computer to the other and leave a "ton" of songs intact.
I tried transfering the limewire folder and its contents but found out later that the songs are stored in a shared folder that is outside of the limewire folders.
I'll try to bring the limewire folder and the shared folder(songs) together next time and see what happens. don't know if that will work--being that there will be no direct connection between limewire and the shared folder this way. thanks for anymore advice you all can give

Just copy the shared folder to the other computer. You can d/load LW off the internet. Then just point LW to the new folder from within the options.

The songs should remain intact unless there's something wrong with the medium you use to transfer them with.
