Please Help (corrupt installation)

I'm trying to install limewire, but everytime that I try it tells me that a file is corrupt and that I have to download it again. I try it again, but it doesn't work..

Try installing the offline version not the recommended one...;)

Hmmm...Try uninstalling your Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE offline version....(5th one down)

Then uninstall Limewire using the uninstaller which is found in start > all programs > limewire...then re-install it using the offline installer...

Thank you! That worked! But now limewire crashed today I think for me. When I double click on the icon nothing happens. I tried reinstalling it but while I'm in the middle of reinstalling it the screen just exits itself.

That sounds like the preference folder, now you need to delete that...After this all should be good...;)

Follow the instructions in this link...

uh.. sorry again but there wasn't a preference folder and I turned on the hidden files thing.
Maybe there isn't one because the file was never completely downloaded? I'm just guessing.
