What happened?! Needing to move files...
 

Hello everybody! I've had Lime Wire for a year or so, but I'm not very literate with programs. I recently got my computer back after it was destoyed (ugh!) by a virus. I had to completely reinstall all my old programs and this was one of them. My problem: I used to be able to have Lime Wire automatically transfer my files to My Music along with them staying in the Lime Wire library. Now, they won't move! I can't find an option or a cut/paste anywhere! I have Windows XP...can somebody talk me through to transfer those files? I've got it set up where my Sony player will take the songs from My Music, so I'm very confused! Thank you so much!

Go to tools...options...saving

The window should have the folder listed where your downloads go right now. Go to this folder (outside of LW), select all of the files you want to transfer, and drag them into your 'My Music' folder.

Again, tools...options...saving

Click on 'Browse' and locate your 'My Music' folder

(C:/documents and settings/my name/my documents/my music)

When you select a new download location, LW will ask you if you want to share this folder. Your files should now appear in your Limewire library (whether you share or not).
