Re download problem

Hello, I'm new to this forum but I've used Limewire for a long time.
OK Here's my problem. I bought and downloaded Limewire Pro in February of last year and it worked out great, until 2 months ago my computer died and I had to basically start from scratch. While trying to redownload Limewire Pro it says
*********Your free updates to LimeWire PRO have now expired.*********
Please click here for a special price to continue receiving LimeWire PRO updates

I don't want updates, I just want to download the regular Pro.

When I go to the lost installer page and enter my email address it says my email is not a valid LimeWire PRO email.

I tried contacting limewire through emails but no luck. Can anyone help?

Sorry, but your past the 6 months, so you can no longer d/load LW Pro without purchasing it again. LW doesn't make old versions available for d/load and once your past the 6 months your dropped from the database. You should have backed up a copy to a disc.

You can always d/load the Basic(FREE) Version. LimeWire: The Official Site for the Fastest File Sharing Program on the Planet

I have the same problem. Except I opted for the lifetime membership w/ Limewire....cost me around $30, I never received an email from them, but my computer crashed last week & now Limewire says they don't recognize my email address. It's the only one I have, so I'm sure, if asked, that's the one I would've listed. There doesn't seem anyway to contact them, since I don't seem to exist in their email list.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

I'm afraid you were scammed :o

Limewire Pro costs $18.88 US dollars...there is no 'lifetime membership'. I would try to get your money back.

Good Luck :)

Limewire download

Yes, there was a download for $18 something & I remember it was limited. And there was a separate sight that was a lifetime membership...which is the one I downloaded & it has been running just fine since Feb.

I don't think I was scammed. Since I was at their sight, at the time.

I just want to get it back w/o having to re-pay another $30. I should be able to get the confirmation # from my bank, but I haven't tried that yet, since I can't seem to find out who to even contact about this.

No there is no such thing as lifetime membership offered at the official LW site. I think if you double-check your browser history you will find you did not go to the official site but a scam site. Unfortunately people google LimeWire & the first results shown are those belonging to scam sites because they pay to be listed first. :(
