*** LW won't load, only short splash screen. (Java reïnstalled!)
 

Hi,

Like the title said; everything freshly installed. Java, LW.
Now, when i press launch LW, it opens the splash screen but onloads after 2 sec. Nothing happend, no icon active or whatever.

Same with frostwire btw.

with this system, it used to work, now after win Xp reinstall it no longer does::bangh:

Athlon 3500+, 2 gig
Asus 6600gt
XP SP2, latest patches;
WMP 11 (although it runs like shi..)
windows firewall (access granted)

important software:
antivir, (tried off)
nvidea firewall (tried off)
windowblinds (trief off)
hitman pro (removed by now)
registry mechanic
azureus (used to work well together)
auto gk
spamfighter, spybot

so, what is going on with this baby.

I have a java based program called 'trader workstation', runs fine.

What version of java are you using?

Try uninstalling your current version of java from the add/remove programs(reboot), then d/load and install Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 Update 12(use the offline installer): Java SE Downloads - Previous Release - JDK 5
