Default Limewire Pro lost information!

Hello to all in the group...New guy here. I have been using Limewire Pro for almost a year. My computer crashed recently, and I had to re-install EVERYTHING. Well, I lost my limewire. Went to my email to recover the link to re-install it...said the link wasn't valid anymore. Went to Limewire's site to obtain technical support, and I get a message saying my email address isn't valid! Yet its the SAME address that they sent the link to for me to download the software! ANYBODY have any ideas/answers on this? Is there a way to get around this? Please advise.....need to download all of my music AGAIN....if I try to sync my ipod right now, I will lose all my music that I have....and there are a few songs on there that took me MONTHS to find!

Your Pro has unfortunatley expired, when you purchse Pro you can keep and run that version for as long as you like but after 6 months you need to purchase it again if you want to get the latest updates or Tech support...

Have you looked for your shared folder or did it get wiped when your comp crashed ??
By default the shared folder lives C:\Documents and Settings\your username\Shared..

Default Limewire LIES!

IF the version you are using EXPIRES, then LImewire is LYING! Because when I purchased my subscription, it CLEARLY said that it was a ONE TIME purchase! There was nothing there that said ANYTHING about having to purchase it AGAIN in 6 months! Well, at least NOW I know what I am up against! I know they don't tell the truth...Many thanks to this forum for enlightening me! Will have to purchase ANOTHER membership with them I guess, until I can find something that's better! I will be reviewing the tips and tricks on this forum though, to see if I can improve the way it works this time. Last time it worked great for the first month...then it got slower and slower and slower....yet when I was at work, it would download very fast....weird!

Did you download limewire from the official limewire site or where you linked there from another site...

I downloaded Limewire from the Limewire site....I purchased it, was sent a link via email FROM limewire...went to that link, and downloaded it. I even re-installed it the last time my computer crashed from this same link! And now they are saying they can't find my email address in their system? This is a bunch of bull....and I can't get in touch with their so called "tech support".....

Domscorpiorlg

Reading through your post it is clear to me that you have either misunderstood what you were paying for or you just did not bother to read all the information available.

First off, when you purchase Limewire Pro it is made clear that you get six months worth or updates/upgrades and six months tech support. There is no membership or compulsion to re-buy LW Pro after the six months period is up, in fact you could get LW Basic which is free and continually update that forever.

I, like you, have also purchased LW Pro but have understood that I need to renew my subscription if I want to continually receive my updates/upgrades. However, I must point out that I did take a "subscription" break between V4.9x and V4.14, which works out at about 22 months.

So, you don't have to continually buy LW Pro if you don't want to you can update/upgrade your LW Pro anytime you want to or stick with the version you have.

But remember, you can only get tech support up to six moths after your latest purchase.

And this is not a lie or a secret, it is up front if you care to read the full instructions of what you are buying, not just the headline grabbing words in big letters.
