Default Installation corrupted?

I have just tried to upgrade to 4.14.10 and the message that appears is as follows: "Installation is corrupted. Please download and install LimeWire again" I did that and get the same message. Now my previous program has been removed and I cannot get the upgrade installed. Please........what's going on??
I'm running Win XP....Linksys Wireless 54G Broadband Router, MSN Firewall, and cable/broadband. I have lots of space 136G on the drive and 1 GB RAM so space isn't a problem. All was fine until the upgrade.
Thanks

Were you trying to download using the online or offline installer? Using the online installer can lead to a corrupted installation...try the offline. When you click to download LW & a dialog box pops up asking if you want to save the file, cancel that. Now use the option to download the offline installer

Hi Mate
Thanks for the info Birdy! As luck would have it, after posting I went back to the desktop and tried installing again. This time it worked...........I am not sure why....perhaps as you said........I was offline at that time rather than being on the site so maybe that's what it was. Thanks again for your assistance.

birdy, im still unable too. I hit cancel when it wants to save and it just stops the download all together. Its quite frustrating. This happened as soon as i updated to the most recent one. I've payed for the one year pro at christmas time of last year and i was forced to uninstall the program. Could i get this back once i am able to load this again?

Ok, try this: When the dialog box pops up, just drag it down the page a bit (don't click anything within the box) & then click on the option to download the offline installer.

Once you click on that option, you should see the file within the dialog box change to 'LimeWireWin-Full.exe'. See if it works then. If you're still having no joy, try using the 'other' installer.

If you paid for a year's worth of Pro last year, you didn't get it from the official site. They've just introduced a 1 year deal recently. So no...you won't be able to download Pro from the official site without paying again.
